Eight habits. Here are yours.

Roughly a decade of lifespan separates holding most of these from holding none. This scores all eight against numbers you have already taken here.

The eight habits

Ranked roughly by weight in the evidence. Each has a free tool behind it.

  1. Not smokingWorth more than everything else combined. Repays at any age.The quit counter
  2. Daily movementThe first 20 minutes buy the most. Endurance carries the lifespan evidence; strength keeps you independent.Guided workouts
  3. Sleep, 7 plus hoursThe cheapest longevity habit there is, and the most skipped. The 2 minute sleep check
  4. Blood pressure in rangeThe most treatable driver of early death and dementia.Check a reading
  5. Blood sugar in rangeCaught in the prediabetes window, it is usually reversible.Track it free
  6. Mostly plants, rarely fullThe Mediterranean pattern carries the trial evidence. Plants at most meals is the instruction.Diets, compared honestly
  7. Little or no alcoholThe daily-drink-protects-the-heart idea did not survive better studies.A private self-check
  8. Screening on scheduleThe one longevity intervention with decades of proof.Your checkup schedule

The loop: baseline with your health age, work one season with the 28-Day Reset, retest, and keep screening on schedule.

Six ways to see where you already are

VO2 max, grip strength, sit and rise, push-ups, one-leg balance and walking speed. Each takes minutes, five of the six need no equipment, and each one was followed in a study of thousands of people. They show the reserve those habits are building.

Common questions

What actually adds years to your life?
Large studies following hundreds of thousands of people keep converging on the same set: not smoking, daily movement, seven plus hours of sleep, blood pressure and blood sugar in range, mostly plants, little alcohol, strong relationships, and screening on schedule. People holding most of these habits in midlife outlive those holding none by roughly a decade, and spend more of it healthy.
Do I need a longevity clinic or expensive testing?
The habits above carry the evidence, and they cost almost nothing. Where a clinic adds convenience, coaching and testing around them, this hands you the habits directly: free tools to measure, a free month to act, and a doctor in writing when a number needs one. Blood work through your regular doctor covers the tests that matter.
Do longevity supplements like NMN or resveratrol work?
Not on current human evidence. The animal results keep making headlines; the human trials so far show little or nothing on hard outcomes. The honest shortlist stays boring: vitamin D if you are low, and whatever a real deficiency test shows. Money aimed at living longer works measurably harder in running shoes and a blood pressure cuff.
Is it too late to start at 50 or 60?
No, and the data is cheering. Quitting smoking at 50 recovers years. Exercise started in your 60s still cuts mortality and protects the brain. Blood pressure treated at any age prevents the strokes ahead of it. The compounding starts whenever you do.
