Common questions

Which fitness apps work with AskDoc?
Strava connects directly with one click. Fitbit, Apple Health, Garmin, Samsung Health and most other trackers work through the export file every one of those apps lets you download: AskDoc reads it right in your browser and shows your steps, sleep, resting heart rate, weight and workouts the way a doctor would read them.
Is my fitness data uploaded to AskDoc?
Export files are read in your browser and never uploaded. Strava activities are shown only to you and are not stored on our servers.
How do I export my data from Fitbit?
Go to Google Takeout at takeout.google.com, choose Fitbit, and download the zip file. Drop that zip on this page and your steps, sleep and weight appear in seconds.
How do I export my Apple Health data?
Open the Health app on your iPhone, tap your picture at the top right, choose Export All Health Data, and share the zip file to yourself. Drop it on this page; large files can take a minute.
Can a doctor look at my tracker data?
Yes. The Personal Diet & Fitness Plan and the Health Review both take your real numbers into account, including what your watch records. Plans are written by a doctor with a certified fitness coach.
