Terms of service
Plain terms for a small service. Using the site means you accept them.
Last updated 17 August 2026
1. What is being provided
AskDoc Health provides health education content and educational consultations. It does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions. See the medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
2. Booking and payment
Sessions are requested through the form on this site. No payment is collected on the site itself. An invoice is issued by email once your request is received, and a booking is confirmed when the invoice is settled and a time is agreed. Our medical team reviews every request; if we determine we cannot genuinely help you, the invoice is canceled and any amount already paid is refunded in full.
3. Reviewing your lab reports, scans and records
Several services involve reading documents you send: blood results, imaging reports, discharge summaries, prescriptions. Be clear about what that is and is not.
- A report review is an explanation of a document. It sets out what each value measures, what the reference range means, which findings are commonly significant and which are commonly noise, and what is worth asking your own doctor.
- It is not a diagnosis, not a clinical interpretation of record, and not a formal second opinion that any doctor, employer, insurer or court is required to accept.
- It is not a re-read of imaging. Where you send a scan, the radiologist’s written report is what is explained. Images themselves are not re-interpreted, and no radiological opinion is offered.
- A review works only from the documents you provide. Incomplete, poor quality or out-of-date documents produce an incomplete review, and results are meaningless without the clinical history and examination that only your treating doctor has.
- Nothing in a review should be used to start, stop or change any medicine, to decline a test or treatment your own doctor has recommended, or to delay seeking care.
- Where a result suggests something urgent, you will be told to see a doctor promptly, and that instruction takes precedence over everything else in the document.
4. Rescheduling, cancellation and refunds
- Reschedule free of charge with more than 24 hours’ notice.
- Cancel more than 48 hours before the session for a full refund.
- Within 48 hours, half the fee is retained, because the preparation has already been done.
- If you do not attend and do not tell us, no refund is due.
- If Dr. Jannat Ilyas cancels for any reason, you receive a full refund or a new time, whichever you prefer.
- If, having received your written summary, you feel the session gave you nothing of value, say so within 14 days and you will be refunded. This is not conditional on an explanation.
5. Membership
The Circle is billed monthly or annually in advance. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the period already paid for. Monthly fees already paid are not refunded pro rata; annual subscriptions canceled within 14 days of purchase are refunded in full. The monthly written answer is a general health education answer and is subject to the same limits as everything else here.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information. Advice based on incomplete history is worth less, and can be misleading.
- Keep your own treating doctor. This service supplements them; it does not replace them.
- Seek local, urgent care for anything urgent, regardless of what you have read or been told here.
- Do not share session recordings, written summaries or members-only material publicly.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site belongs to AskDoc Health. You may read it, print it for personal use, and link to it freely. You may not republish it, sell it, or use it to train a commercial model without written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability arising from use of this site or its services is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such limitation is not permitted by law.
9. Session length
Calls run 20 to 30 minutes depending on the service booked. If your situation needs more time, ask before booking: longer engagements are scoped and quoted individually, and nothing beyond the standard fee is ever billed without your written agreement first.
10. Acceptable use
Do not use this site to seek prescriptions or controlled substances, to request medical documents for legal or employment purposes, to submit another person’s health data without their consent, or to scrape or republish the library at scale.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which AskDoc Health is registered. Nothing in them limits consumer rights that the law of your own country grants you and does not allow to be waived.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows when. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made silently.
